Nashville Presidential Debate 2008 Went Off Without a Hitch!

The Town-Hall Format Presidential Debate between John McCain and Barack Obama on Tuesday night at Belmont University’s Curb Event Center went off without a hitch in Nashville!

It was quite a scene!  Roads were blocked off, there were more police than I have ever seen in one place and everyone in sight was quite excited that such a historical event was being held here in Nashville, TN.

After the Debate was over, I managed to squeeze through and get this picture:

You can see the chain link fence surrounding the building and the police tape in front of that.  If you look to the right going up the stairs, those are the people who were inside while the Debate was going on.  They are now standing in a huge line to be let out one-by-one through the gate.  Most are holding umbrellas as it was raining pretty good.

It seemed that they were going to be in that line for quite a while.  I was there about ten minutes and only two people were let out through the gate.

Anyway, I thought some people would like to see where this event was held and what the scene looked like from a common person such as myself.
