My Job is to Sell!

I am a Realtor in the Nashville, Tennessee Real Estate Market – that is in Davidson County.  I have read many blogs on how our job is to market a property.



Active Rainers – I know that a lot of you are going to disagree with me, but I feel that it is my job to SELL a home or property, not to simply market it.  I have actually given this a lot of thought and what I keep coming back to is “What Does the Seller Want/Expect?”  When I get down to the heart of that question, my seller wants me to SELL THEIR HOUSE OR PROPERTY!!!  Marketing, of course, is going to be part of that.  Pricing is going to be part of that.  Advising is going to be part of that.  But the bottom line is, the house or property must be SOLD!

If I don’t do my best to sell their property, my job has not been done to the best of my ability.  Now we all know that some properties won’t sell for one reason or another.  Perhaps the seller is pricing too high.  Well, that is up to us as professionals to both advise and, if the seller will not be reasonable, we must reject the listing!  It is the right thing to do!

So, Realtors, get out there and SELL!!!
